Is the $9 Pitching draft strategy recommended for Yahoo fantasy baseball auction drafts?
The idea of a starting lineup with that potential is a fascinating idea to play around with. If you can construct a pitching rotation with $1 players, waivers, and streamers, then your fantasy team is going to be quite difficult to defeat. With this strategy, you would have to be careful with stolen bases and average. You’re relying so heavily on your hitting that it must be very competitive in all statistics. Don’t get carried away with slugging statistics because you will need players that can hit for average and steal bases. There are no extra points for dominating your competition in a certain statistic in fantasy baseball. It’s a fun strategy that I intend to try, but I believe its overkill; The LIMA plan is a more economical approach to building a powerful lineup while giving oneself the opportunity to get some quality pitching.
