Actually, yes. The high season for airfares begins June 16, so if we left even one day later, it would cost several hundred dolalrs more per person. Apparently, the only school system for which this might be a problem is Cheltenham, but if so, please contact us and we will set about helping you get permission from the school to leave early (even if that means rearranging for you to take an exam or two early). How will we be getting around? The plan for now is, after a few days spent enjoying London, to take the Eurostar Chunnel Train under the English Channel to Brussels, where we’ll switch to a train for Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, we’ll be picking up our vehicles–a minivan and a station wagon (you need a commercial bus driver’s license in Europe to drive a vehicle that holds more than 9 people, so this is the only way to cart all 12 of us around)–and driving for the bulk of the rest of the trip.
