Koh Samui was not affected at all the the tsunami in 2004. • There is no religious fighting anywhere near Koh Samui as there is in the South of the country. • The coup and replacement of the government, as far as foreigners are concerned, is as if nothing has happened. In summary – Come visit all the tourist destinations in Thailand with confidence. Most Thai’s are wonderful people with incredibly big hearts. You can make new friends that will last a lifetime.
