Is TGI Fridays a family restaurant or more an adults restaurant?

To be honest with you it’s both. Just about any restaurant can be a family restaurant depending on the time of day and the area you sit in. If you go to TGI Fridays and sit at the bar on a Friday/Saturday night, it’s pretty adult. They don’t even allow kids in the bar area! However, if you just go to sit down and get something to eat at anytime, you can bring your kids. Restaurants like TGI Fridays are all encompassing by design. Like Bennigans, Chili’s, and any other number of chain type restaurants, they don’t try to have the best food, service, or decorum in town. They don’t want to be a 5 star establishment. What they want to be is the place of compromise that everyone can agree on. You may have been happier at the Sushi place down the street, but your buddy wanted a burger, and you could eat some Mexican. Therefore you guys decide on TGI Fridays. This is why they are for families and adults, not just one group.
