Is TDL fully compatible with FlexRay?
Yes. For TDL the FlexRay standard is just one possible communication infrastructure. Because of the potential popularity of FlexRay in the future, preeTEC offers a FlexRay plugin for the TDL:VisualDistributor tool. Together with the appropriate plugins for the computing nodes of your FlexRay cluster, you can automatically generate the configuration and executables for your FlexRay cluster. The TDL:VisualDistributor plugin for FlexRay also allows you to specify some FlexRay parameters that can hardly be guessed by the code generators. One example would be whether a dynamic segment is required at all and if so, how large that should be. In the expert mode you can even set or change any of the whole set of FlexRay parameters and a sophisticated constraint solver will help you to come up with a valid parameter setting.
