Today, Target stands as the only mass retailer featuring high-fashion apparel, but tomorrow may tell a different tale. Now that Kmart is mired in restructuring mode, Wal-Mart has decided to use its vast resources to buy into class. The addition of the trendy Levi’s brand next back-to-school is only the beginning of what could be Target’s eventual undoing.
