Is Tahitian noni better than Hawaiian noni?
This is a rumor that was started by Tahitian Noni International to help sell their product. Other than the fact that noni fruit grown in Hawaii is slightly larger than the fruit grown in Tahiti, there is essentially no difference between the two. Both are the same species (Morinda Citrifolia), grown in volcanic soil in a tropical environment. The larger size of fruit grown in Hawaii, however, suggests that conditions for noni there are slightly better.
