Is SYC a student version of City Council?

No, SYC is not strictly a political body. It may, during the course of its projects, however, work with City Council or the Juan de Fuca director from time to time to carry out its activities and is grateful to have partial funding from the District of Sooke. Our council liason is Maja Tait.
