NO! I hear this one all of the time and it’s simply not true. Yes SURGE was meant to compete with Mountain Dew but anybody who has tried SURGE can agree they don’t taste at all alike. Coke has had a Mountain Dew imitator for years: Mello Yello. SURGE is competition NOT imitation. This argument makes little sense if you consider that Pepsi Cola (maker of Dew) was released after Coca-Cola.
