Is submission of a paper to SSRN tantamount to prior submissions by scholarly refereed journals?
We are unaware of any journals that consider SSRN’s eLibrary or the email abstracting journals to be “prior publication” since our services are basically an aggregation of working papers and not a refereeing process. If an author requests it, we will immediately remove their paper from the SSRN eLibrary.
