Is Stoney Point on the beach and ocean?
Stoney Point is located 60 feet from the shore of Union Bay, which separates Newbury Neck from the mainland and Acadia National Park. It sits on quiet, protected, deep seawater—perfect for swimming ( the water is cold) and boating. Stoney Point is nestled in the woods with a very private rocky beach. The ocean bay directly in front of our property accommodates the largest sailboats, as well as power boats. Although we don’t have a mooring at present, we plan to add one in future so guests may bring their boats to Stoney Point. The town of Ellsworth has a boat lauch and mooring and is only 3 miles away.
