Is Stone Age people same as Neanderthal people?

0

No, very definitely not. ‘Stone age people’ simply means that the only technology the people use is stone age. No metals. Neanderthals were a separate species of animal to us modern humans. They did use stone age technology so you can correctly say they were a TYPE of stone age people, but the two terms aren’t interchangeable. An important point to realise is that stone age people still existed on this planet until 50 years ago. IOW the their are many thousands of people alive today who were born as stone age people. Those people were mostly located in New Guinea, Brazil and Colombia but they also existed in parts of SE Asia. These stone age people weren’t Neanderthals. They were (and are) the same species as you and I. They simply hadn’t had the opportunity to learn how to smelt metals. That’s the sole difference. In contrast Neanderthals were completely different type of animal to you and me.
