While we can not vouch for every stevioside on the market produced in China, Emperor’s Herbologist brand JAJA Stevioside is completely safe. Unlike most of the other stevioside from China and other countries, JAJA Stevioside is tested to assure it is extremely low in pathogens, bacteria, and heavy metals. In order to sell to Japan (where our stevioside has been sold for over 15 years), it is crucial to have extemely low levels of bacteria, heavy metals, and other harmful items.
