The present debacle of Alex Rodriguez steroid use should be a signal that Major League Baseball needs to clean up its image. Has Major League Baseball taken the important and vital steps to exclude steroid use from the game? It would seem as though they have not done enough to secure the public trust on this substance abuse issue that plagues America’s game. Many former teammates of Alex Rodriguez have scorned him for participating in his steroid abuse, and also have accused him of tainting the game. It is a shame to see that steroids have taken over the game of baseball, the truth is – who is using steroids, and who is not? The game of Baseball used to be a game where the players used their natural talent to achieve greatness – that set their personal accomplishments apart from their predecessors.
