Is Starbucks giving free refills today on any size coffee cup?
As best I can tell, there isn’t a free refill promotion today (though there may be one in your city). Also, if you have a registered Starbucks card, you are ALWAYS eligible for a free refill. It does seem like Starbucks is tweaking their rewards program. In early 2009, they announced that registering your Starbucks card would get you a free refill, free tall drinks with the purchase of a pound of coffee and several other “perks” when you used your card. The new program has a tiered approach. Simply registering (Welcome Level) your card gets you a free birthday beverage. After paying with your card 5 times (Green Level), you get the 2009 level of perks and after 30+ purchases (Gold Level) you get a personalized card and one free drink after every 15 purchases. If you have an existing registered card you start at Green Level and if you have a Gold Card you get Gold status immediately after your Gold card expires. Seems like a decent program with good incentives to keep going to Starbucks
