The StarBand service is currently available everywhere in the continental U.S. including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Due to the demands associated with operating the StarBand service in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands the service may only be purchased through one of our authorized partners in those locations. There are a few unique equipment requirements for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands – namely, a 1.2 meter dish antenna (instead of the 0.75 meter dish used in the continental U.S.), a roof/wall mount with higher wind ratings, a stronger low-noise-block (LNB) transmitter, and feed arm.
