Is Spectroscopy a good chemistry project? Does it have anything to do with chemistry?
Spectroscopy is a pretty neat chemistry project if you ask me. It is very relevant from the chemistry perspective. Spectroscopy is a technique used quite frequently in organic chemistry to deduce (or figure out) the structures of various organic compounds. There are several types of spectroscopy: proton and carbon-13 NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), IR (Infrared) spectroscopy, fluroescence spectroscopy, absorption spectroscopy, etc. Each corresponds with different types of radiation, which is neat in my opinion. Also, spectroscopy is a valuable tool in chemical analysis. It has many applications including MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) in medicine. So I think you could make a pretty solid project out of spectroscopy. I hope this helps!
