Is South Korea Advanced (daily life, not military) than the U.S?
Do you mean MORE advanced? I spent a year in Korea while in the US Army and I got to see a lot of different places and met a lot of Koreans. It’s not so much more or less advanced, it’s just that the culture in Korea has different priorities than Americans so what they come up with is — different, not necessarily better. For one thing, Koreans — in general — are more tech-savvy than Americans — in general — and absolutely love their gadgets. Your friend is right — Korean cell phones ROCK! Cell phones in Korea are much more advanced than in the US. Text messaging and camera phones were around in Korea long before they were heard of in the US.
