Is South Africa descending into chaos?
Hi there. South Africa is on a knife edge right now, especially with Zuma in charge. Once Mandela is gone, there could be trouble, as he is the restraining influence. They have rising HIV, appalling rates of crime (especially murder and rape) and an influx of refugees putting strain on systems that were already stretched. Add to that an increasing number of appointments made based not on ability to do the job, but political, social or tribal grounds and you get a socirty that could very easily go to Zimbabwe-style melt down. Pray for them that they can avoid that. Cheers, Steve.
