The Sony MXF compression format is an extremely high-quality format. Additionally, Vegas Pro 9 supports a very wide variety of formats natively on the timeline. Thus, when you work in Vegas Pro 9, there is much less need for a compression codec since for most file types, we don’t force you to convert to a different format before you can even begin to edit your footage.
