Not only are we becoming too politically correct, but political correctness does not work! If I recall correctly, PC’dom was developed to try to equalize members of society and to cut down social stigma. It was also supposed to cut down on racism by eliminating words that are racist. It, simply, does not work. I knew it was doomed from the outset because what it was supposed to achieve cannot be achieved. Regarding the racist words it was supposed to eliminate, you cannot just eliminate a word and, if you managed this feat, people would come up with another word to take its place or attach the stereotypes to the PC word. PC’dom is chasing its tail, trying to plug up the gaps with more PC talk.

1) In my opinion, the repeated use of the very word “political correctness” is that what we don’t need. However, I admit that some excessive language constructions coined by progressive people will probably not make it in the mainstream culture. We must realize that racism and discrimination are still existent, even inside ourselves, we must still do something about it, and I hope we won’t forget this. I don’t think that we ever shall have too many people reflecting about this and having a critical points of view about our mainstream culture.
