Is SOAR mandatory for transfer students? What orientation programs are available to transfer students?
If you are a transfer student who will have more than 24 post-high school semester credits (not including AP or concurrent enrollment credits), you are required to contact your advisor before registering for classes. You are not required to complete SOAR or pay the $100 University Deposit; however optional Transfer Information Days are available in the summer. Transfer Information Day is an optional half-day program for transfer students who have at least 24 college credits (not including AP or concurrent enrollment). Transfer Information Day focuses on giving you vital information that will make your transition to Utah State easier. Your time will be spent receiving critical information about policies, procedures, and resources specific to Utah State University. Though campus tours will be available for those who are interested, they are completely optional.
