Is smoking allowed in the residence facilities?

No, all university facilities, including on-campus residential facilities have been declared Non-Smoking in compliance with the Florida Clean Air Act of 1992. (See State Statutes, Section 386.001.) This includes the stairwells, hallways, and building entrances. Smokers are required to smoke outside and must provide their own ashtrays as well as dispose of the waste properly.
