Is slight play normal when new?
Slight side to side play is normal when new. Seat play is not going to be as rigid as a solid seatpost because of the two piece design. All telescopic seatposts are like this. The NitroPro is different in that the play gets no worse as it is used in fact play diminishes over the months as fine dirt fills hairline cracks between the key/tube/ss bolt. Once the cracks are filled it seals the key area so no more dust can enter. Other suspension seatposts continually get worse until finally you have to rebuild them. Occasionally you will have to tighten the SS adjustment to remove play from normal wear.
