Some impatient people are going to think I’m condoning slavery. Try reading thoroughly before you’ve made-up your mind about what I’m saying. Many other nations didn’t have an economy dependent upon slavery. That dependency was forced upon the South by the greed of the Northern factory owners. I get sick and tired of everyone blaming the South for slavery! Do you think there were no slaves in the north? There most certainly were! And they didn’t even NEED them. Did they need them in order to make a profit off of their land? Could you live off of a few cents per acre on your raw resources?? I wonder if anyone ever wonders how farmers of today can eke-out a living given that people want to pay the absolute least amount possible for their food and that food has to be processed by factories first. The bulk of what you pay goes into the pockets of those processing plants. You aren’t being taught History. You’re being taught propaganda. Justification for forcing the southern states to remain
