there are many “achievements” they have, which may compete with each other shoulder to shoulder: 1. Slavery 2. Genocide of “original americans” (i have reservation in the implication of the word “native” – the way it has been used thoughout world history)…. these two have been mentioned by many here…..and then there are: 3. Atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki 4. Vietnam 5. Cuba 6. Iraq 7. Afghanistan……. ………..only to name a few……. it seems tough to choose one………….

Well an estimated 12-20 million African slaves were murdered, and we had to go to war and kill our own country members just to get it to stop. So ya kinda, the native american thing had a lot to do with disease.
