No. The PREVU* POC Test does not test serum cholesterol. Skin tissue cholesterol (skin cholesterol) is derived from epithelial local synthesis (steroidogenesis) and diffusion from circulation. Skin cholesterol provides a longer-term look at how the body is metabolizing cholesterol.
