Is skidding considered reckless driving?

It really depends on the totality of the circumstances. The traffic present, whether or not you have passengers and thier ages, the speed at which you were going, what kind of area it was (residential, industrial, business, or rural etc), and what the officer saw. I’ve written a guy a reckless driving citation before for doing a screeching U-turn in an intersection where 4 cars were approaching, disregarding the stop sign at the intersection, and speeding away. A rule of thumb that some officers tend to use is if there are 2 or more violations you can write for reckless, but I tend to take in the whole situation.
