Is six flags great adventure really closing down for good?
No Six Flags parks are closing. Six Flags has had and continues to have financial difficulties. They just filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection, but this will not affect park operations. They are reorganizing their debt and changing their marketing practices. Six Flags has also removed rides that are non-productive that face low ridership. This reduces the maintenance headaches and lowers costs, while it opens up space for new attractions later on in the future. Taking steps now, in an uncertain economy, will allow the company to strengthen, and to be around in the future. It is a difficult time for the parks right now, people have less disposable income, so attendance is lower, and the parks still have to pay their bills and try to be profitable.
Absolutely not. Six Flags Great Adventure (and Magic Mountain) are 2 of the best/most visited Six Flags parks…IF they were to sell one of their parks, it definitely would not be Great Adventure. Six Flags filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy which I think is why these rumors are starting…yes, they aren’t doing so well this year (which anyone could have predicted b/c the economy is in a s**thole-there are other theme parks who also aren’t having as many visitors as usual), they just need financial help b/c of their debt, but they will continue to operate this season and next.
thats not true the amount of money spent on demolition and the rides would be absoultly stupid for one of the biggest and best known fun fairs in the world the company brings in such high profits that this would be a really bad decesion but in saying that lots of law suits have been held against them for injurys and death inc.
