Singapore is a developed country according to the IMF and the WB. Singapore is one of the original Asian Tigers: Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore. All of them are developed countries (Well Hong Kong is a developed entity in the China People’s Republic). Singapore is one of the Advances Economies according to the IMF. The Advances Economies are Developed Countries. The IMF uses a good system for determinate which country is developed and which country is less developed: A developed country have high per capita income, a great variety of exportations and it have to integrate in the Global Financial System. Singapore qualify for that definition so it’s a developed country.
