Is Similac Sensitive R.S. better for digestion?

Formula fed babies do experience more constipation in general and soy itself also causes constipation. If your baby really does have an issue with lactose then this may work for both of your issues as it contains less lactose along with the added starch. I also tried this formula for my baby who had a bad gas and reflux issue. She still had spit up issues but the volume was definitely lessened. On a whim I decided to try the Carnation Good Start after reading about its digestability. It contains only whey protein vs whey and casein (which is found in Similac, Enfamil and breastmilk). Whey is much easier to digest than casein, so Good Start seems to work for fussiness and gas. My baby is now having more frequent stools (1-2 a day vs 1 every other day) and is spitting up less despite the lack of the added thickener. You might want to consult your ped on the switch. Good luck with finding something that works.
