Others have disclosed, such as USA Today, that schools reported circulation issues. Regardless of the ban, these accessories have been popping up on adults now. It’s only a matter of time before the bracelets become a ubiquitous fad among people of all age. If you aren’t aware of the craze, Silly Bandz are silicone rubber bands that come in different shapes and colors. Silly Bandz were created by Robert Croak and gained popularity in 2009. Since then, the brand has expanded to include a wide array of shapes such as animals, foods, objects, plants, musical instruments, and anything else you can possibly imagine. The appealing factor is these bracelets are inexpensive (24 for $4.95). The company is even retiring certain models which can only make the bracelets more coveted among kids. Perhaps a smart move. R
