Is silicone really eco-friendly?
Silicone is a durable, long-lasting product. We promote our individual silicone molds as an alternative to disposable paper cupcake liners and bulky plastic chocolate mold trays. In respect to the cupcake liners it is a great replacement for disposable paper liners as the silicone baking cups can be reused countless times thereby cutting down on resources used. Plastic trays are made from petrochemicals. There has been a lot of media attention linked to possible health risks from leaching of chemicals from plastic when in contact with foods. We have included a variety of different shapes with the silicone molds which means that you have more choice with the types of chocolates you make without having to buy multiple plastic trays of different shapes for example. The silicone molds are so versatile with their temperature resistance that they can be used in a variety of ways from baked to frozen treats.
