Is sheep wool insulation sustainable?
We believe it is the most sustainable insulation product available commercially. Sheep are shorn yearly for their wool at the appropriate time of year, and typically the coarsest and darkest available are used-the insulation is thus essentially made from a waste product. Also, only a fraction of the energy required to make man-made insulation is required to make sheep wool insulation.
