Is serving cheap wine a reason to lose a customer?
I know I whine a lot about certain things, but I assure you it’s because I care. In some cases it might be somewhat selfish, because I eat at pubs and bars regularly and drink a lot (well, frequently) and I want to drink what I want to drink. So sometimes I give bars and restaurants, and certain producers and agents and ahem . . . liquor monopolies a hard time when I don’t get what I want when I want it. I’m a lot like a preacher, though, because I really believe that there are better choices out there for you readers and that you do want to drink better for less. I know I do reach some of you because I hear from you, to the point where I think I’m preaching to the converted most of the time, but hey, changing the status quo takes a group effort. One of my current crusades is for better house wines at restaurants.
