Is secondary school education in England better than Australia?

It depends on what you mean by “better”. If you are talking academic standards, then the U.K. system is reverred and head-and-shoulders above Australia. My personal experience supports this: I moved to Australia when I was 14 and for two years, I studied concepts (particularly in Maths, Science and English) that I had already covered in the U.K. Australia’s schools obviously benefit from the warmer weather, which makes a significant difference to athletic students. Unfortunately, the divide between private and public school -and the formers accessability to underpriveldged students- is now an issue in Australia, as it is in the U.K. and U.S.
