Is scrotal placement less expensive than tunic placement?
Is scrotal placement less expensive than tunic placement? Yes. There are two patented implantation methods- scrotal and tunica. Scrotal placement means the Neuticles are placed directly in the scrotum. The scrotal tissues then ‘stretch wrap” around the Neuticles and hold them perfectly in place for the life of the pet. Because this method takes only seconds for the veterinarian to do- it is normally less expensive than tunic placement. Tunic placement takes from three to four minutes per testicle. It involves the veterinarian making an incision on the side of the tunic- removing the pets natural testes and then placing the Neuticle back into the tunic and sutering the tissue over the Neuticle.
