Is Scrapland more of an action game, or more of an adventure game?
American: Hopefully as games continue to evolve we’ll lose these general genre labels related to gameplay and begin to focus more on the narrative elements of a title when trying to define it. If that were the case I think you could best describe Scrapland as a film noir murder mystery set in a world full of robots. You play the part of a lone hero trying to get a scoop but end up saving the world. Along the way you’re going to engage in a number of different action, adventure, racing, and combat scenarios. Like in real life, these blend together to create a realistic and compelling world. IGNPC: On the surface, Scrapland seems like harmless sci-fi action-adventure, but we have characters quoting Shakespeare, the murder mystery introduced near the beginning, imprisonment with a psychotic stapler for a cellmate, and other items that don’t quite fit into an all-ages category. What kind of gamer is Scrapland meant to appeal to? American: Scrapland is an intelligently crafted game with som
