The Green Protocol Working Group was formed to promote global collaboration and exchange of information pertaining to the New Internet based on IPv6 technologies in the interest of reducing the cost of resources needed to efficiently manage the building environment. Over 30 percent of the total consumption of power is consumed by buildings around the world. By using intelligent new technologies that leverage the usefulness of the New Internet based on IPv6 the working group will demonstrate how significant changes can be made in the way buildings are designed, developed, and controlled. Representatives associated with governments and non-governmental organizations from around the world like the U.S. Federal Government, China, United Nations, and the State of California have joined the group to help foster its objectives.
