Is saving money for suckers?
Would you be bothered if nobody got financial aid? You saved money for this type of thing. Be happy for the people who can’t afford it but are offered the same opportunity. It’s like buying an item at regular price and then getting bent out of shape when it goes on sale. It seemed fair to you originally. Don’t let someone else’s good fortune get to you, fair or not. Full Disclosure: I’m back in school full-time and am getting some gov’t aid in the form of WIC and MediCaid for the kids. When I’m done with the PhD I’ll be paying real taxes again, and I know others in similar situations will benefit from my taxes like I am now.
