Is Satan in hell?
Just going by what the Bible actually says, you have to clarify what you mean by “Hell”: a) Hades/Sheol/the Grave – the abode of the Dead b) Tartarus/the Abyss – the pit where the great fiends are held prisoner c) Gehenna/the Lake of Fire – the place the outer darkness of absolute, ultimate and final damnation, where “the worm does not die and the fire is not quenched”, where “there is weeping and gnashing of teeth” According to the Bible, Satan won’t be thrown in the Lake of Fire until Judgment Day. He is either now at large on the earth or chained in the Abyss, depending on your theology and interpretation of Scripture: REV 20:1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years
