Is Sarah Palin the future of American politics?
In a general sense, the future of presidential politics belongs to people like Sarah Palin. Television and other electronic media have changed politics in ways that we are just starting to realize. For instance, many historians credit Nixon’s failure to wear makeup in his first debate with JFK with the public’s perception that he lost the debate. Kennedy, who had been campaigning in California, showed up looking tan and relaxed. Historians say that their answers were pretty evenly matched.
