Is Saddam Husains execution necessary?

0

First of all Saddam has gone through due process and been found guilty of mass murder by a jury of his peers and his appeal was considered and rejected. There are multiple charges which he could have been tried for other than this one which yes all include mass murder including the order to kill 180,000 Kurds. These reasons alone are more than enough to convict any human regardless of former political status to death. Second of all this is a show of resolve by the people of Iraq that they can now deal with their own legal issues quickly and efficiently. This is an assertion of the freedom which we have helped them gain and it is a truly important landmark of how far they have come. If we were to intervene in this ruling by a court of Iraq and its people after having told these people you are free to make your own decisions we would destroy much of what we and they have accomplished together.
