Is Rudolph the red nosed reindeer real?
Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer was actually created as advertising for Montgomery Ward in the 1930s. They hired a writer to create a story and print a book they could give out to the children of shoppers when they made a purchase. Years later, a song was created to go along with the book, and that was recorded sometime in the 1940s. It has since become a Christmas classic.
