Is Ron Paul the Best Republican Presidential Candidate for 2008? Ron Paul (R-TX), an old-school Goldwater Republican who would end the federal war on drugs, abolish the federal death penalty, shut down Guantanamo Bay, and put an end to all 9/11-driven civil liberties abuses.
