Is Ron Howard going Lovecraftian?
Image Comics is due to release a title based on H.P. Lovecraft’s monstrous works entitled The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft on April 9th. Said title shows the nightmarish imaginings of one of horror’s most famous writers unleashed upon the “real” world. Now, before the comic even hits the stands, word comes from Universal that the studio is looking to adapt the property with Ron Howard as the intended director. Possible plushy marketing tie-in. Man, that’s quite the far cry from The DaVinci Code, although it does have a smattering of the demons from Angels and More on this as it develops. All you Lovecraft fans out there would do well to remember that Guillermo Del Toro is prepping his adaptation of At the Mountains of Madness as well. Can’t wait to see Cthulhu on the big screen!
