Is Romantic or “true” Love simply deep Friendship combined with lustful Passion?
I don’t think so. I think true love encompasses so much more than just deep friendship and lustful passion. It’s a willingness to give all of yourself to someone in a way that even the deepest of friendship isn’t capable of. Lustful passion can be derived from any encounter with a member of the sex that you’re attracted to, so combining the two and calling it true or romantic love, just doesn’t cut it. There’s something more to it than that…unfortunately, I lack the capacity to explain what exactly the thing that makes them different is.
