Is rihannas pixie cut high maintenance?
Yes and No. I have that exact cut and here is what I think about it: The style is low maintenance if you consider getting it shaped every two weeks and staying on top of your touch ups low maintenance. All I did at this point (when i was maintaining my relaxers) was wrap it at night in a satin scarf and finger style. If needed I would rub a small amount of pomade in my hands to lay down the back. Currently I am wearing the style similar to how she wears it in that the touch ups are not as frequent (you can tell that she does not relax often by looking at the nape of her neck in recent pictures.) I do this for two reasons 1.) I am on the fence about relaxers and believe I should just stop all together and 2.) I like the textured look in the back which comes from not relaxing the newgrowth – If your hair is really kinky this may not work. To me, if worn right, it gives the style a different and unexpected look. If you have this cut and dont maintain the relaxers it is very hard to style.
