Is Rheem a Convicted Felon?
Rheem’s background has been scrutinized heavily thanks to a Florida newspaper reporting about past criminal convictions that he was charged for. Allegedly, Rheem was charged with burglary, dealing in stolen property, larceny and marijuana possession and had to serve 4 months in prison and 30 months of probation. These charges, however, are not a concern of the WSOP’s organizers, stating that they were “basically the odds of society” and “not an unusual circumstance”. Members of the overall poker community also support their brother in arms and regard Rheem as on of the most humble and friendly players in the poker circuit. Rheem will enter the WSOP Main Event 7th out of 9 with 10,230,000 chips.
