Is revision rhinoplasty a painful procedure?
After surgery, patients may experience some discomfort though this can be controlled with prescription pain medication. Much of the discomfort that patients experience is a result of nasal packing, in which the nose is packed with gauze or cotton. Nasal packing is not always required and, when used, is typically removed within the first two days after surgery.
